XC skiing in Cypress, Jan 4th

I thought they charged way too much (a bit less than $20, maybe $18 or so) relatively to the size of the skiing area and length of trails and you were never alone, anywhere...If you are skiing for the sports this place is good because its close to the city etc... but if its the quiet forest or beautiful view you are looking for go somewhere else.

Whistler - 3 different trips in the past 3 weeks

Snow conditions significantly improved from our first trip through the third one and the weather was great all three times :)

Snowshoeing - Hollyburn Mountain, Dec 25th

From the parking lot of the xc skiing of Cypress mountain there is a free (there are some trails you have to pay for) snowshoe trail going to the top of Hollyburn mountain. It is steep at times but very beautiful and well marked; it is a long trail about 9km in and out so plan accordingly.

Its been snowing and we decided to drive out of town for a couple of hours to enjoy some fresh air in the Cypress ski area.
