Cheakamus Lake, August 16

The hike to reach the lake is about 3km and then another 3km or so along the lake itself until you reach the end of the trail and a nice little beach. It is a fairly flat hike on a well maintained trail suitable for all, including bikes.

The water is cold -it is a glacier/snow fed lake afterall- but the day was so warm (34c) that I couldn't resist a few quick dips :)

Great pictures!

I remember swimming in Peyto Lake. Actually, that was rather hopping in and out, just enough to take the picture. :)
It was late June, drizzling rain and not quite warm. The water was shockingly cold.
